CSR Day 2008
“The event was a huge success and we have met so many great people and organisations,” says Simone.
The message of the day was clear; businesses cannot afford the dubious luxury of ignoring the gr een agenda. It is no longer a case of whether companies should adopt a sustainable approach, but more a case of the best way to go about doing it.
“There are certainly lots of small changes that can be made for a company to make a difference. It doesn’t have to be solar panels and wind turbines, it can be a ‘no bin’ day or changing light bulbs to low energy ones.”
With 200 delegates attending to hear a key note presentation from environmental campaigner, Jonathon Porritt the day proved that companies are no longer in denial but need help and support.
