Innovation in Deploying Clean Technologies. Commercial Group is a fast growing office services company, which has dramatically reduced its carbon footprint by revolutionising its fleet of vehicles, which underpin hundreds of deliveries each day. Using a sustainable biodiesel fuel to reduce emissions, it has developed a smart communication system which enables each vehicle to communicate to the pump the exact mix of fuel required. Testing has shown that each van can run effectively on a slightly different mix of fuel, so quantity of biofuel in the blend can be automatically tailored to each vehicle, with tests showing that the fleet vehicles can run at between 20 and 80% biodiesel content. |
